Unusual New Years Eve Celebrations in London

One of the world’s hotspots for New Year’s Eve fun and festivities, party revellers travel far and wide to take part in London’s infamous celebrations. For those of you looking to avoid the masses in favour of quirkier and more unusual haunts to welcome the new year, we have sourced various alternative parties taking place in and around the capital:

1) Why spend New Year’s Eve crammed inside a sweaty club when you can party on a boat instead?! Celebrate the New Year at Bar&Co which offers the best views of the midnight fireworks in London from a prime river position. This double-decked boat is an anchored party palace which offers a stocked drinks fridge and DJs who will keep you dancing into the early hours of 2015.

2) For table-tennis enthusiasts we have sourced a night of unlimited UV ping-pong, a truly original way to see in 2015. Bounce, Europe’s largest purpose built social ping-pong house, is throwing a huge party that includes just that, on top of UV artwork, face painters and special cocktail prizes for those with the best UV-themed outfits. And it’s not just ping pong, Bounce is also the ideal venue for those wanting to dance to a mix of funky, retro party and be part of the UV spectacle.

3) Don your finest mask for an evening of anonymity at Paradise By Way of Kensal Green, at its decadent New Year’s Eve Masked Ball. A huge success last year, you can expect a glamorous affair with the promise of big party tunes, cool decor and a sexy, fun-time crowd. Music on the night will be provided by London’s hottest DJ talent set across both floors of the venue. Prepare yourself for a New Years Eve masquerade extravaganza.

4) For a retro celebration the Blitz Party takes place in an authentic makeshift air shelter, and party revellers celebrate wartime nostalgia, fun and glamour. WWII uniforms and 1940’s style is the necessary attire for this event which takes place in the Great Suffolk Street Arches on South Bank. The evening includes live music, dancing and dancehall songs from the era as well as delicious gin-based cocktails from sponsors Bourne & Hollingsworth.
