One of the UK’s most celebrated chefs, Aikens has lived on Tite Street in Chelsea for more than eight years and owns two restaurants in the area. Tom’s Kitchen is a Chelsea stalwart that has been in operation since 2006, while Muse, which recently opened in Belgravia, is a return to classic fine dining with British ingredients. We convinced the gastronomic giant to give us a peek inside his little black book, so you can make the most of your stay at Dolphin House.
This romantic French restaurant has been an institution since the 1960s and the interior has barely changed. The signature chicken dishes are superb.

When a greengrocer can count River Cafe amongst its clients, you know you’re on to a good thing. This treasure trove on Chelsea Green sells European cheeses and charcuterie, as well as organic produce.

A super friendly Chinese run by a father and son team. The menus include quirky dishes such as pig’s trotter as well as all the classics. Some of the staff have been there since it opened in 1982.

This museum has recently been refurbished and now has an immersive area for kids. Look out for oddities such as the skeleton of Napoleon’s favourite war horse!
